Forgive me Mom - for leaving our degrees in the dust and pursuing careers in the online industry while traveling, not knowing when we will be back. The title is a small joke of course. But it’s a small joke about a big step we took to be able to live life the way we want to. We just don’t want no Woulda Coulda Shoulda’s when we're eighty.
This blog is full of travel tales, tips and tricks about working on the go and about us finding our way among the millions of ways life can be lived.
A good thing is that you don’t have to be a born entrepreneur to take a step in a whole other direction. As Tom already was a slick moneymaker at the age of six -shooting berries at the neighbor’s windows, asking them ten minutes later if they had any chores he could do for money-, Lieve was more of a dreamer who never even thought of working for herself. But as time went on, we both weren’t happy with the careers we had in front of us. So we teamed up professionally (we already were a couple for 4+ years), bought a one-way ticket to Bali, sold our stuff and left our cat in caring hands to pursue location independent careers in the online industry. With Forgive me Mom we'll give insight in how we manage to run an online business while being on a quest for paradise (and cheap hotels).
About Us
I never knew what kind of career I wanted to have or what to do in life. Sometimes the not knowing brought me into a quiet state of panic and I would literally hear the hands of time ticking away (it was only later I learnt those were called hallucinations that many people in their roaring twenties seemed to have) read more..
